Youth Advisory Committee Meeting
November 14 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Want to have your say on issues relevant to young people in Darwin?
Meeting a few times a year, the Youth Advisory committee (YAC) is a group of up to 15 young people, supported by two Councillors and Council’s Youth Programs Team.
Members are aged 12 to 25 years and come from different backgrounds and experiences, from various local high schools, community and youth agencies, education, training, employment and recreation groups.
YAC advises Council on a range of issues and makes recommendations on issues that affect young people locally.
The group acts as a central point for youth issues at a Council level and also hosts and supports projects such as the annual Co-Design Workshop!
Anyone between 12-25 is welcome to sit in and see if they think being a Committee member might be for them.
We accept application all year round!
