City of Darwin LAUNCH Youth Festival opened with sweet sounds of Sietta live in Civic Park!

Sietta – born from a love for soul and pulsating beats and production; bred from the madness of the Darwin heat and signed to Elefant Tracks have been touring for the last few years around Australia. Their shows regularly sell out in Darwin and beyond and it was very excited to have them performing FOR FREE at LAUNCH.

Moveable feast was a tasty and diverse mix of ingredients blended together to create a cuisine from far off corners of this worlds – light and fluffy sweet delights. wacky Waiters will provide a sensational smorgasbord of circus, comedy, music, drama, dance and song. Bon Appetite!

Created by members of Corrugated Iron’s drama in performance ensemble, Circus Maximus, Flying Gypsies and Dynamite Circus.

TOP END COMEDY WORKSHOP & SHOWCASE

The Top End Comedy Stand Up Workshop and stand up show was held  the Browns Mart. Talented  brave souls  workshopped their raw comedic skills to present a series of debuts stand  up routines. Sprinkled with seasoned performances from the delightfully funny souls at Top End Comedy.

Our sports taster smorgasbord is presented by Sports Education Development Australia (SEDA).  Each day SEDA served up a tasty selection of fun and games.  Adding some sport and recreation into the festival mix!

saltwater divas

Saltwater Divas, a two-day workshop for young Indigenous womens wanting to develop their performance skills.  Mentors including Leah Flannigan, empowered the  young women  to  perform and how to be a professional Diva on stage. The Divas performed their original songs at the Saltwater Divas showcase supported on stage by their mentors
