Opportunity for young artists!
In 2020 and 2021 we licenced artwork from local, young artists for use on skate decks and scooter grips to be used as prizes at our Street Heat skate comps. as you can see below, we ended up with some pretty sick designs!
It’s been a minute since we’ve had some new decks printed and with no more boards left for the upcoming Street Heat comp, we think it’s time to bring back this great opportunity!

What You Get
- Your work will be printed on skate decks and scooter grip tape that will be used as prizes at our skate comps
- You will receive one of the decks with your work on it to hang proudly in the pool room (or sell for many cashes when you get famous)
- You will receive a one-off licence fee of $150 for use of your work
- We will profile you and your work on our social media channels
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this opportunity …
- Open to young people between the ages of 12 and 25 who live, work or study in Darwin
- Have an existing artwork that could be easily adapted to the shape and dimensions of a skate deck ie long and skinny. It can run either portrait or landscape.
- The artwork needs to be high enough quality to print well at skate deck size (215mm x 830mm) ie a low res phone pic won’t cut it unfortunately
- The artwork content needs to be ‘family-friendly’
- Your artwork can be in any medium – digital, drawing, painting, collage, photography etc
- You can submit up to THREE artworks
- We prefer you submit *existing* artwork as it would be super disappointing to make work specifically for this opportunity and not get selected. That said, if you want to use this opportunity as motivation to make something new go ahead, we can’t stop ya!
