Play at Darwin’s biggest arts festival!
LAUNCH and Darwin Festival have partnered to provide an opportunity for local, young musicians to score a professional performance opportunity on the Darwin Port Bandstand in Festival Park. Not only will you be able to add a paid gig at Darwin’s premier festival to your bio, you’ll also be supported by a mentor through the entire process to make sure you ace it on every front!

Eligibility
- Age 15-25 and live, work, study or play in Darwin
- A soloist or duo*
- Be able to perform a 20 minute set of original music (can include one cover)
- Have examples of your music and or performance you can submit
- Are committed to working on your professional practice
- Strong administration and communication skills including responding promptly to emails and texts, meeting deadlines and showing up on time
* we can possibly accommodate a trio but that’s the max group size we can support
Project Timeline
March – taking applications
April – artist selection and photo shoot
May – Darwin Festival program launch + artist announcement
June/July – mentoring sessions
August – performance at Darwin Festival
September – program wrap up and debrief
