Our annual by fans, for fans event, Geektacular 2024 will be back at Casuarina Library on 20 January. Expect all the usual fun along with some new takes! Our producer team has identified some roles for young people who would like to get more involved this year as MCs and cosplay judges. You will receive support from established mentors in these roles.
This opportunity is open to Darwin-based young people 16-25 years of age.

Cosplay Judging
Are you an avid cosplay enthusiast with a keen eye for creativity and costume making techniques? Or maybe you love everything cosplay but prefer to stay out of the spotlight.
You can get involved by joining our dedicated team of individuals as a cosplay judge.
As a Cosplay Judge, you will:
- Evaluate and judge cosplay entries based on creativity, craft skills and characterisation
- Provide constructive feedback to participants.
Qualities:
- Knowledge of craft techniques
- Fair and objective judgment skills
- Enthusiasm for supporting and encouraging cosplayers

Geektacular 2024 – Call for MCs EOI
Are you a dynamic and charismatic individual with a passion for geek culture? Geektacular 2024 is in search of engaging two Master of Ceremonies (MCs) to host our event!
Geektacular is a lively celebration of all things geek, and we are looking for individuals who can captivate and entertain our diverse audience.
As an MC, you will:
- Host and engage the audience during Geektacular
- Introduce performers and maintain the energy of the event
- Ensure smooth transitions between different segments
Qualities:
- Strong public speaking and improvisation skills
- Ability to connect with diverse audiences
- Passion for geek culture and events
