Get out and get down the park for International Women’s Day! Learn about skating in a park space, meet others and have a shred.

We’ll have breakfast burritos and a free paint space as well as a workshop to build your skills in the park.
Workshop not for you or new to skating? Just want to stick around and skate? Then it’s a regular Saturday shred session! With music playing and plenty of friendly faces, this is the perfect chance to catch up and meet others who share the same passion or try out a skate park for the first time. No registration required for hanging out. Just show up!
About the workshop

Aged 14-25?
Please note that the workshop is for people who have some basic skate skills. You need to be able to stand up and move in a straight line on your chosen equipment before stopping. It is a skills development session, not a come try workshop.
What the workshop covers:
- Is it my turn to go now? How and when to move around a skate park.
- Ramps and un-even surfaces. Get some help tackling difficult ground. It’s time to kick off your ramp career.
- Stopping and falling. Nicely.
- Discuss different obstacles and how to approach them.
- Opportunities to ask questions.
- Support from experienced and skilled skaters.

FAQs
Who can attend the workshop?
This workshop is for people who identify as female and gender fluid people aged 14 – 25 who ride roller/ inline skates, skateboard, scooter or freestyle bmx.
I’m under 18. Do my parent’s guardian need to sign anything?
YES. To complete the workshop you’ll need to get a waiver and photo consent form signed by your parent/ guardian. If they can’t drop you off on the day we can send you the forms via email. There’s no need to miss out!
I’m under 18. Do I have to wear a helmet?
YES. If you don’t have access to your own safety equipment you can request to borrow a helmet via the registration form.
